At Gladia, we tackle ambitious technical challenges to support rapid growth, scaling from 500 hours to 3 million hours of transcription. As pioneers in speech-to-text technology, we’ve developed a Real-time Transcription API delivering batch-level quality with <300 ms latency across 100+ languages.

Joining as a Senior Backend Engineer (Typescript) means working on a cutting-edge platform in a team of 10 Senior Engineers, optimizing scalability and directly contributing to innovative AI solutions with real impact on production. You’ll develop and maintain our product as well as optimize our current platform (code, test, scalability, stability, monitoring).

Role

• You will create, develop and maintain the whole technical stack

• API component architecture design & development

• Build new product features from start to finish through conception, research, documentation, maintenance, and polish

• Tackle technical problems to guarantee the best level of performance

• Improve performance, reliability and observability on our product

• TypeScript - NestJS

• Kubernetes with k0s

• PSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ

Experience

• With at least +6 years of experience on a product experiencing rapid growth, your work is well-crafted and well-tested for scale

• You have a solid experience in Typescript

• Involved with CI/CD processes (GitHub Actions)

• Knowledge of at least PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ

• Testing tools have no secrets for you, regardless of the environment you’re working on

• Interest in clean code, software craftsmanship, performance, scalability and security

What Gladia offers

• The compensation offered is based on seniority and experience, and would typically range from €50K to €70K in base salary + BSPCE.

• Full remote policy in France

• Team gatherings: twice a year in our beautiful Paris office (Sentier) and regular team off sites

• For employees living outside Paris: budget to cover travels in Paris up to 3 times a year (outside company events)
