Requirements
  • Associate degree in dietetic technology from an ADA-accredited program.
  • Registered Dietetic Technician licensure or certification.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Ability to make prompt and accurate judgments regarding elder care and emergencies.
  • Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally upset persons.
  • Ability to use the tools and equipment required for the position.
  • Detailed-oriented with literacy, writing, documentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nutritional services to residents, guests, and other personnel under professional responsibility and practice standards.
  • Orient dietary services around the autonomy and dignity of elders.
  • Place dietary decision-making in the hands of elders whenever possible and appropriate.
  • Work and communicate effectively as part of the self-directed work team.
