Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in learning and development, sales training, marketing, or sales enablement is required.
  • Experience leading a team and project leadership experience are required.
  • Experience developing and implementing large-scale learning initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales training strategies aligned with organizational priorities and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with Sales leadership and key stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning opportunities.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for internal Sales teams and external travel advisors.
  • Establish learning frameworks and curricula that support onboarding, product education, sales effectiveness, leadership development, and ongoing professional growth.
  • Ensure learning solutions align with adult learning principles and cruise industry best practices.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of learning experiences across instructor-led training, webinars, virtual learning, e-learning, and blended learning programs.
  • Develop the strategy for training and development.
  • Work with Trade Marketing leaders to create actionable Sales Communications Plans and advertising that drives training participation.
  • Lead and facilitate training sessions for Sales teams, travel advisors, leadership groups, and business partners.
  • Create training initiatives focused on closing-sale techniques, objection handling, consultative selling, revenue optimization, product knowledge, promotional programs, marketing and sales tools, customer engagement strategies, and new deployments.
  • Lead a team to ensure all training content remains current, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the relationship with the main training vendor and support strategy and training for platforms including Shufflrr, Rallio, and the internal learning management system.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of Seminars at Sea, conferences, trade events, webinars, and sales meetings.
  • Manage training calendars, project plans, timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee contracts, purchase orders, invoicing, record keeping, and other administrative functions related to training events.
  • Ensure operational excellence and successful execution of all learning programs.
  • Manage the Learning and Development team, including Leads and Trainers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to Sales leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue Management, Product Development, Trade Support, and Operations to develop training solutions for Sales team members and travel advisors.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to evaluate training effectiveness and business impact, and make recommendations based on performance.
  • Use feedback, performance metrics, and sales results to continuously improve learning programs.
  • Analyze reporting and data trends to identify opportunities and recommend enhancements.
  • Leverage learning technologies, artificial intelligence solutions, and innovative methodologies to improve learner engagement and productivity.
  • Champion learning technologies and digital tools to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve content development, productivity, and learner experiences.
  • Partner with the learning management system vendor or designer to optimize learning platform use and reporting capabilities.

Royal Caribbean completes $1.25B bond offering to refinance debt

Royal Caribbean Group has completed a registered public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2034. The notes, which carry a 5.550% interest rate, will mature on 20 January 2034 unless redeemed earlier. The cruise operator plans to use the net proceeds primarily to repay part of its outstanding floating rate term loan facilities. Any remaining funds will go towards repaying or refinancing other existing debt. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as lead book-running managers for the offering. The notes were sold pursuant to an automatic shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 29 February 2024. Royal Caribbean Group operates 71 ships across three wholly owned brands.
