Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in communications, public relations or related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications and issues management plans, developing communication products, media response and relations, stakeholder relations.
  • Communications or public relations experience - ideally in a corporate or government setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, sound judgement and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of public sector or the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and familiarity with social media platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn.
Responsibilities
  • Build constructive relationships across the organization and various levels of government, as well as public and private sector partners, to deliver successful communications programs.
  • Develop and implement Communications strategies for Real Estate to support annual communications planning, a weekly communications calendar and corporate products as required.
  • Develop strategic messaging in collaboration with subject matter experts and respond to media inquiries regarding real estate projects, properties and priorities.
  • Create high quality products for approval by the Manager such as Web updates; Key messages and speaking notes; Communications Summaries, Qs&As and related background materials.
