Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Field, screen, and respond to telephone, email, and walk-in inquiries; provide accurate information on policies and procedures; refer complex inquiries as needed.
  • Manage traffic and triage students for the Student and Career Development Office and registrar’s office; serve as backup for Admissions Office
  • Triage and assign Student of Concern Salesforce notifications to advisors
  • Draft routine correspondence, assemble materials for reports, and maintain filing systems and electronic databases
  • Lead communication for LSC Scholarship Recipients
  • Support for the Summer Experience Funding and Alumni Summer Experience Fund promotion, processing, and notification
  • Process funding for the Cuffie Awards and associated student travel.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory using online systems.
  • Approve student worker payroll
  • Process charges, P-Card purchases, fund transfers, and travel reimbursements.
  • Make travel arrangements and submit related documentation.
  • Assist career development staff with on-campus recruiting, and employer engagement.
  • Support advisors working with Human Ecology student organizations.
  • Support the Peer Partnership Program with communication, pairing and tracking of students.
  • Manage and/or support student-facing events including New Student Onboarding, Welcome Event, Family weekend, admissions yield events, Commencement and other CHE events as needed
  • Support the PSSP program each summer
  • Order food, reserve facilities, and set up support
  • Review and approve/deny non-academic room reservations requests through the 25Live system
  • Ensure facilities and building care are aware of any potential concerns or needs for reservations
  • Communicate with stakeholders with reservations to ensure their understanding of the policies related to use of the facility.
  • Organize student surveys, compile submissions, and communicate with applicants and awardees (see below):
  • SUNY awards, Carpenter awards, and Student Senior Survey (no event – early fall deadline)
  • Flora Rose award, Florence Halpern award, and Summer Research Stipends (no event – spring deadlines)
  • Robinson Awards (no event – early summer deadline)
  • Maintain and update college web pages, and CHE Instructional Blog and content management systems; make changes as directed.
  • Create announcements or simple flyers for newsletters, and informational materials.
  • Create and send our Communecology weekly student newsletter
  • Maintain Student Services content on Human Ecology website
  • Serve as CHE Academic Integrity Committee Secretary to document Academic Integrity violations and schedule meetings.
  • Ensure student representatives on various college committees including on the CHE Academic Integrity Hearing Board.
  • Update, distribute and advertise student opportunities to serve on college committees including, SUNY Teaching Excellence selection committee, Mann Library student representative, EPC UG and Grad student representatives
