What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of WalkFit, a tool to help users be healthier with enjoyable lifestyle through numerous walking exercises.

Key responsibilities:

• Creating and supporting APIs for mobile apps

• Creating and supporting internal Admin panels for mobile apps

• Working with mobile app subscriptions

• Working with the Core AWS services (AWS Lambda / API Gateway / SQS / CloudFormation / CloudWatch / SNS)

• Contributions to System Design of the overall product

• Operating and supporting systems running in production

Required skills:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Python 3

• Knowledge of and the ability to work with relational DBs (Postgres or others)

• Experience with SQLAlchemy (or any other ORM)

• Experience with cloud-based stacks, e.g. AWS (Lambda/API Gateway/SQS/SES/CloudFormation/CloudWatch)

• Willing to choose the right tool for each challenge, including expanding beyond the Python tech stack when needed 

• Ability to highlight risks and propose efficient solutions

• Ability to learn fast, collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively

• Good command of English

Nice to have:

• Experience working with non-relational DBs (NoSQL, etc.)

• Experience working with data, multimedia (audio/video) or various communication protocols (e.g. websockets, rpc)

• Experience working with asynchrony in Python

• Experience with frontend
