Requirements
  • 4-year technical degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training in electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics preferred.
  • 1-2 years of technical experience maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical skills with demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics. Experience with Mechanical pumps, control logic, VSD is a plus.

  • Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Able to complete work within assigned deadlines. Computer proficiency as required for communication, research, work orders and programming various controllers. Excellent customer service and communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be fluent in English other languages including Spanish or French is a plus
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasions and work in industrial environments
Responsibilities
  • Offer professional and timely service support to the Customer Centers, field service engineer, OEM, endusers and distributors.
  • Continuously improve the product quality by a proactive failure reporting including resolution follow up. Analysis of incident and warranty reporting will be required. Documentation of incident and resolution with customer feedback is required
  • Provide accurate and up to date service information covering all aspects of vacuum pump installation. Provide technical training to customer centers and dealers.
  • Effectively diagnose electrical / electronic and control faults on customer equipment. Including MK5 gateway, Controller 4.0, VSD, PLC, etc.
  • Understand and support Atlas Copco’s connectivity products including genuis box and controller 4.0.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the company, promoting the Atlas Copco “Way”. Learn and share knowledge, experiences, and training with teammates to increase one’s own knowledge and knowledge of others.
  • Display the ability to manage time accordingly. Must have the ability to work and solve problems independently. Always promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-orientated image to customers.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
  • Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel: Potential travel required no more than 25% of time. Travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.

The company and its staff of 14 serves the region's oil & gas, offshore, petrochemical, abrasive blasting, and bridge and pipeline construction sectors. Cypress posted 2025 revenues of about $17.6 million, Atlas Copco officials said. Andrew Walker, the president of Atlas Copco's power technique business, said the deal would strengthen its presence in the U.S. portable compressor market and specialized oil and gas applications. "The strategic location between New Orleans and Baton Rouge places Cypress at the heart of one of the most active industrial corridors in the U.S.," Walker said in the announcement. Atlas Copco also announced that Henrik Elmin, the president of the company's industrial technique segment, plans to leave the company in early September.

Atlas Copco acquires US vacuum and leak testing firm LACO Technologies for undisclosed sum

Atlas Copco Group is acquiring LACO Technologies, a US-based manufacturer of vacuum solutions and leak testing systems. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Founded in 1975 and based in Salt Lake City, Utah, LACO produces vacuum chambers and leak detection equipment for aerospace, research and development, and industrial applications. The company generated approximately $25 million in revenue during 2025 and employs 110 people who will join Atlas Copco. The purchase price was not disclosed. LACO will become part of the Scientific Vacuum division within Atlas Copco's Vacuum Technique Business Area, enhancing the group's leak detection expertise and adding a US-based manufacturer to its portfolio.
