Requirements
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
  • Having a target graduation date within one year of the conclusion of the internship.
  • Having unrestricted work authorization in the country where the candidate is applying to work.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the day-to-day activities of the investment banking division and gain exposure to different types of clients, transactions, and specialist areas.
  • Collaborate on live deals and client pitches, support the team in advising corporate clients, and deliver structured solutions aligned with client goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage the deployment and launch of new investment banking products and services.
  • Manage client relationships and provide customer service support, respond to questions about products and services, and process transactions under steadily decreasing supervision.
  • Develop and implement financial models and strategies that support decision-making in investment banking.
  • Perform financial analysis and modelling, valuation, industry research, client due diligence, and develop written materials including offering memoranda and new business presentations.
  • Train and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Perform assigned activities in a timely manner and to a consistently high standard while driving continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other functions and business areas, advise and influence decision-making within the area of expertise, and act as a contact point for external stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for end results of team operational processing and activities, escalate policy or procedure breaches, and embed new policies and procedures adopted for risk mitigation.
  • Manage risk and strengthen controls in relation to owned or contributed work, in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Build an understanding of how the sub-function integrates with the broader function, including its products, services, processes, and organizational objectives.
  • Make evaluative judgments based on factual information and resolve problems by applying acquired technical experience and precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members, communicate complex or sensitive information, and build a network of internal and external contacts.
Desired Qualifications
  • A GPA of 3.2 or above.
  • A keen interest in business and finance and a curiosity to learn.
  • Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit, potentially demonstrated through extracurricular activities.

Supermarket Income REIT secures $565M debt refinancing to cut costs and extend maturity

Supermarket Income REIT has secured a £445 million debt refinancing to lower borrowing costs and extend average debt maturity. The new facilities comprise a £375 million syndicate and £70 million bilateral arrangement, replacing all existing unsecured loan facilities maturing over the next two years. The refinancing includes four facilities ranging from three to five years, all with two one-year extension options. The average margin across facilities is 1.18% above the Sterling Overnight Index Average, delivering annual interest cost savings of approximately £300,000. The REIT has added Lloyds Bank and ABN AMRO as new banking partners whilst retaining relationships with Barclays, HSBC UK, ING and The Royal Bank of Scotland. The refinancing increases the group's weighted average debt maturity from 2.9 years to 3.8 years.
