Requirements
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
  • Minimum of years 5 of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.
  • Minimum of 9 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 7 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
  • Experience with CAD Modeling in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or NX.
  • Experience with CAM software, such as Mastercam.
Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed hardware design including part selection, developing CAD models and conducting cable/signal routing.
  • Research, develop, plan, design, analyze and test Mechanical components, equipment and systems.
  • Supports the delivery of Mechanical Systems design Technical Data Packages, as-built TDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.
  • Write and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • To resolve mechanical issues during hardware design, development, manufacture, integration and qualification.
  • Define and apply appropriate Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to mechanical designs.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs as needed.
  • Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings.
  • Developing Mechanical designs that meet MIL-STD and other applicable codes and regulations.
