Responsibilities
  • Set the vision and provide oversight for undergraduate Health Sciences academic programming.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and oversee the development and revision of courses in accordance with industry standards.
  • Lead department meetings addressing curriculum implementation, instructional planning, student data, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain lab equipment and facilities for courses as needed.
  • Review course and major data quarterly and annually to inform enhancements and explore new course, concentration, and major offerings.
  • Use an efficient scheduling model to provide sufficient course options, optimize class sizes, and customize academic pathways.
  • Create and maintain a hiring network, review candidates, conduct initial interviews, and recommend full-time and adjunct faculty hires.
  • Select instructors to staff courses in the content area.
  • Supervise faculty, conduct classroom observations, provide feedback and coaching, and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Lead faculty professional development, including onboarding and ongoing support.
  • Lead the annual program review and assessment plan for Health Sciences.
  • Lead the resolution of student issues, including academic appeals and readmissions, as needed.
  • Ensure communication and alignment between administration and the content-area team.
  • Contribute to budget recommendations, marketing materials, enrollment strategies, admitted student days, team meetings, and faculty governance.
  • Collaborate with allied health programs to facilitate bridge pathways to graduate programs.
  • Identify, secure, and manage partnerships with healthcare systems, community-based providers, businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, and professional associations.
  • Develop and implement an Industry Advisory Council.
  • Create and implement enrollment-growth strategies and develop partnerships and articulation agreements with high school networks and community colleges.
  • Build employer networks offering job opportunities and internships to students after graduation.
  • Teach a minimum of 15 quarter-hour courses annually in blended and/or online environments.
  • Use technology-based teaching platforms and collaborate with faculty to develop effective student experiences.

CAPTRUST acquires Stillwater Capital Advisors for $1.25B in assets

CAPTRUST Financial Advisors has acquired Stillwater Capital Advisors, a Devon, Pennsylvania-based wealth management firm with $1.25 billion in assets. The deal adds CAPTRUST's fifth office in Pennsylvania. Stillwater, led by co-founder Doug Swope and a team of six professionals, provides investment and wealth management services to individuals, small businesses, endowments and foundations. The firm will adopt the CAPTRUST brand following the transaction. Swope said joining CAPTRUST provides access to resources and technology that will allow more time for client service whilst maintaining Stillwater's client-first focus.
