Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, prioritizing safety, quality, and output.
  • Delegate work assignments, set expectations, monitor delegated activities, and recognize results.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities, allocate additional resources, set goals and objectives, organize or schedule personnel and tasks, and develop realistic action plans.
  • Follow policies and procedures and complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
  • Address production issues, equipment malfunctions, and workflow bottlenecks to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
  • Assign, train, and develop incoming production and quality staff.
  • Manage production personnel through assignment, training, development, and supervision.
  • Convey program performance to the organization.
  • Coordinate with the business unit manager and site leader to set attainable quarterly production goals.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance manager to schedule machine preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the Integrated Product Team to execute production schedules and meet targets and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Drive productivity improvement projects.
  • Enforce workplace safety regulations, conduct safety briefings, and ensure employees follow proper procedures.
  • Ensure staff members are trained on current procedures and that procedures are current, accurate, and complete.
  • Ensure adequate availability of raw materials, tools, and equipment while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  • Ensure production activities align with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate production workers and assign goals for the next review period.
  • Identify production, quality, and safety issues and implement countermeasures.
  • Identify suggested improvements for Engineering.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Interview and screen job applicants.
  • Enter production shift data into the LN system.
  • Maintain accurate training records for production staff, including on-the-job training knowledge checks.
  • Maintain production report records.
  • Ensure production programs produce products that meet all commitments.
  • Manage a team of production workers by providing guidance, assigning tasks, and ensuring productivity.
  • Monitor processes and products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards and address issues promptly.
  • Order production supplies.
  • Perform process audits and report findings during program Integrated Product Team meetings.
  • Perform safety audits and record results in the Vector database.
  • Report upset conditions.
  • Respond to program corrective actions and implement countermeasures.
  • Deploy work job codes to production and support staff.
  • Schedule machines and production to meet the business unit forecast.
  • Serve as the production building owner.
  • Stop production when safety, quality, or substantial performance inefficiencies exist.
  • Submit requisitions for replenishable goods and parts needed to continue production.
  • Submit shipping requests to schedule product pickup.
  • Track attendance and production and enforce disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Understand key performance indicators such as productivity, efficiency, and quality, and take corrective actions when targets are not met.
  • Use Lean Manufacturing to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Meet productivity standards, complete work in a timely manner, and strive to increase productivity.
  • Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, use equipment and materials properly, and conduct biweekly safety meetings.
  • Follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility for actions, keep commitments, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer commitments.
  • Maintain ethical standards and uphold organizational ethics and business conduct policies.
