The Job:
The HR Business Partner is a high-impact role with responsibility for a large dispersed global group. The successful candidate will provide the full range of day-to-day HR support for our Engineering & Property Services (EPS) team and will provide support in functional areas of human resources including organizational development, talent management, employee relations, training and development, performance management, and HR special projects. This position is both a transaction and tactical business partner and supports the strategic initiatives of the global EPS team and onsite Valley City, OH Human Resource support.
As a Human Resource Business Partner, you’ll be part of our Engineering & Property Services team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:
- Support the people & culture strategy to ensure HR strategy aligned with business plans and strategic objectives
- Consult with and provide recommendations to the leadership on organizational design that will enable the business to grow and operate effectively
- Consult with leadership on talent management and development needs. Identify competency/skill gaps and recommend/implement learning & development solutions in conjunction with the Talent COE
- Build a strong pipeline of talent to ensure a diverse, high performing organization
- Drive recruitment activities including position management, interviewing, sourcing, offer creation, communication and facilitation of world-class new hire orientation, on-boarding & assimilation activities
- Partners to build organizational capabilities to address resource and operational challenges
- Champions change management by providing leadership to shape the organization’s culture, systems and processes to enable change
- Serves as trusted advisor to leadership team on a wide range of business and people issues to include coaching, policy interpretation, employee relations, employee development, recognition & rewards, etc.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and HR best practices.
- In concert with leadership, build and drive a positive employee culture
- Gather and analyze HR data to provide insights and develop solutions
- Build strong HR support for Valley City, OH location
- Lead ongoing employee engagement activities; drive new ideas into the business, support the year-round engagement strategy, and provide execution support on assigned projects.

The Person:

- At least 5-8 years of progressive HR generalist responsibility working with multiple functions, preferably global employee base
- Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master in HR or MBA preferred
- Experience working with remote workforce in a matrix environment
- Ability to analyze, interpret and present data to a leadership audience using Workday reporting functions.
- Consultative approach, strategic mindset
- Customer focused, adaptable, has strong follow up and organizational skills
- Ability to work in an environment with multiple competing priorities
- Experience fostering collaborative working relationships with business partners, functional leaders and decision-makers, providing influential advice to help them achieve desired business outcomes
- Ability to plan, manage, and track projects, and to communicate about them with multiple involved parties
- Resourceful and ability to navigate the unknown, finding solutions by navigating through internal and external channels
- Executive presence, professional demeanor, and strong business acumen
- Experience working with Workday and ADP or similar HR systems – and comfort using data to drive actionable insights and recommendations on organizational design
- Ability to operate in ambiguous situations with little or no direction.
- Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
