- Bachelor of Science in Electrical engineering with 0-3 years' experience
- Plant maintenance and/or project management experience preferred
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing sites preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot complex practical problems in situations where only limited standardization and documentation exists
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations (Local, State, & Federal), safety rules, operations and maintenance manuals, blueprints, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrated experience of low & medium voltage design and utility engagement
- Basic understanding of protective relaying, protection, and control
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
- In the performance of the duties of this job the employee is required to travel, drive a motor vehicle, communicate using telephone and email
- Communicate across disciplines and management teams, while maintaining professional presence in representing the department
- Complete electrical design deliverables for brownfield projects including single line drawings, wiring diagrams, relay settings, arc flash studies, load calculations, and equipment selection
- Prepare bid sheets, equipment specifications, obtain proposals, and contracts for construction
- Manage and administrate facility electrical infrastructure project budgets
- Frequently interact with electricians and maintenance technicians to clarify scope and respond to Requests For Information
- Serve as the End User representative in design reviews of major modifications to the facility electrical system
- Develop commissioning, acceptance testing, and functional checkout documentation to validate properly installation of electrical components
- Research new equipment, tools, and software that can be leveraged to improve equipment reliability and ease of maintenance
- Support in planning and coordinating outages related to infrastructure improvements and equipment maintenance activities
- Evaluate operational systems to improve system efficiencies in alignment with company sustainability goals
- Identify, quantify, and propose solutions for potential power quality issues
- Serve as a technical resource for NFPA 70E and Electrical Safe Work Practice questions
- Provide electrical guidance for plant maintenance technicians through the development of preventive maintenance plans and electrical operating procedures
- Perform root cause investigations on electrical failures and present findings
- Support design, construction, operations, and manufacturing teams as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
