  • BS degree in science / engineering preferred or equivalent.
  • 3 years in related design work experience.
  • Advanced CATIA V5/V6 operation.
  • High attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Working in CATIA V5/V6 to design and model fixturing used for holding vehicle parts during processes such as weld, paint, assembly, and test.
  • Understanding body part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design.
  • Preform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements.
  • Export 3D/2D data and outsource to a supplier for quotes and ordering.
  • Research ways fixturing or processes can be improved.
  • Support any other request for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs in the company.
  • Support development groups such as Interior Design by creating data for evaluation models and Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.
