Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise Software-as-a-Service sales in fintech or banking with a consistent track record of exceeding quotas and driving strategic deals
  • Experience leading and closing $80K+ annual contract value deals with executive stakeholders across business, product, legal, compliance, information security, and marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex sales cycles, including legal and information security reviews
  • Strong customer centricity and product thinker
  • Proven experience in driving sales from zero to first transaction
  • Experience using Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, structured sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Challenger, etc.), and new artificial intelligence tools transforming the sales tech stack
  • Comfortable working onsite three days per week at the New York City headquarters
Responsibilities
  • Drive Revenue with Purpose: Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets as we scale throughout 2025.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with opportunities valued at three times the quota.
  • Close deals with confidence, maintaining a 25% or higher win rate.
  • Expand Pinwheel's Market Reach: Break into both fintech disruptors, established financial institutions, and credit unions within the first six months.
  • Strategically plan and execute territory initiatives that drive growth and visibility.
  • Identify and unlock cross-selling opportunities to deepen impact within existing accounts.
  • Build Meaningful Relationships: Establish trusted partnerships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Legal teams to keep deals moving forward seamlessly.
  • Master the Pinwheel Way: Deep-dive into sales methodology and tech stack during first 90 days.
  • Keep CRM records precise and up-to-date for clear visibility.
  • Drive efficient sales cycles, achieving an average of 90 days or less.
  • Be the Market Expert: Stay sharp on industry trends and shifts in the competitive landscape.
  • Share insights with product and marketing teams to fuel smarter strategies.
  • Play a key role in shaping sales best practices as we continue to evolve.

Robinhood chose Pinwheel Deposit Switch for its PreMatch technology, which enables near-instant direct deposit enrolment during account opening. The technology addresses a significant industry challenge, where 40% of accounts remain inactive after first funding. Pinwheel's PreMatch automatically identifies and surfaces active payroll accounts for switching after multi-factor authentication, achieving double the conversion rate of legacy solutions. Invented in 2023, PreMatch eliminates the need for users to manually search for payroll providers or enter separate credentials. Pinwheel's network covers 1,800 payroll providers and 1.5 million employers. The company has raised $77 million from investors including Notable, Coatue and First Round Capital.

Varo Bank goes live with Pinwheel's Switch Kit combining deposit and bill switching

Pinwheel, a fintech specialising in account activation solutions, has launched its Switch Kit with Varo Bank, combining direct deposit switching with bill payment management. The solution emerged from beta testing throughout 2025 after Pinwheel announced development of its bill solution suite in late 2024. During a three-month pilot, 40% of Varo users who linked external accounts proceeded to switch at least one recurring bill, transitioning an average of two bills to their Varo account. Varo, the first nationally chartered all-digital US consumer bank, has used Pinwheel's deposit switch technology since 2021. The Switch Kit addresses consumers' primary concerns about switching banks: direct deposit transitions and missing critical payments. Varo reports that customers using Pinwheel maintain higher account balances and demonstrate greater engagement.
