Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field if already holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must obtain within 1 year of hire. Either bachelor's or graduate degree must be in nursing
  • Current New York State registered nurse licensure (or willingness to obtain NYS licensure)
  • 3 years clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the pre-operative and post-operative teams to ensure delivery of high-quality and compassionate patient care
  • Engage staff, mentor, supervise and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continued professional growth
  • Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation and scheduling
  • Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience
  • Act as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit
  • Partner with senior leaders to support continuous growth in a collaborative environment
  • Lead initiatives to explore new and innovative surgical procedures
