The role of SQL Developer in Data Management (DaVita IKC, Gemini Foundation) involves the preparation and organization of data obtained from external sources. The role will work primarily with medical claims, RX claims, membership and supporting data.

As a SQL Developer, you will conduct thorough analyses on the database to ensure standardization of fields and data across diverse sources. This position requires a keen evaluation of upstream impacts resulting from any modifications, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the quality and simplicity of the data structure.

The SQL Developer is responsible for efficiently managing individual work streams and exhibits self-motivation to continually upskill as needed. We are seeking a candidate who is inherently driven to learn and grow within the dynamic field of data management.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain SQL code to move and transform data

• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify business logic and use case

• Follow SDLC best practices and perform peer reviews

• Read and create documentation

• Troubleshoot and fix automation issues

• Participate in special projects outside of the day-to-day scope on responsibility

• Able to upskill independently

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:

o Attend team meetings (video on) and training

o Knows, understands, and follows teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.

o Travels up to 5% of the time

Qualifications:

o Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SQL required

o Bachelor’s degree

o Desire to learn best practices for data infrastructure organization

o 1+ year of experience working with SQL preferred

o Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word and Outlook

o Advanced critical thinking, strong work ethic, creative mindset, adept communication skills, attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, efficient time management, technical aptitude, and business acumen

o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

o Experience with Python, DDL and PL/SQL a plus

Salary/ Wage Range

$62,200.00 - $91,300.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
