Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Must possess a current Licensed Vocational Nurse license.
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls professionally, take accurate messages, deliver messages to the appropriate person, and document telephone contacts according to policy and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication and team involvement among providers, staff, patients, and other service partners by sharing information promptly.
  • Facilitate provider assessments by gathering information according to established policies and procedures.
  • Preview medical record charts before patient appointments and ensure all pertinent records are included.
  • Monitor patient status during specialized procedures performed by physicians or providers.
  • Gather data about the patient's condition before, during, and after procedures such as treadmill stress testing.
  • Document appropriate patient care information legibly and promptly in medical record charts and maintain the charts appropriately.
  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of practice and cross-cover nursing functions when needed.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and tests as ordered in accordance with applicable state statutes and policies and procedures.
  • Refer telephone messages to appropriate personnel and document telephone contacts according to policies and procedures.
  • Perform telephone triage for patients with chest pain or shortness of breath and document the information accurately.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures, including safety regulations for equipment, facilities, and hazardous materials.
  • Advocate for patients in coordinating and delivering quality care and provide for their comfort and safety during visits.
  • Complete patient teaching using established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment and participate in quality management activities.
  • Respect patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality while maintaining courteous and professional interactions.
  • Maintain safety standards for all patients.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities and support staff development and training.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and applicable company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Assist with projects assigned by the direct supervisor and perform other assigned duties.
