What believers are saying

  • Los Altos approved Dudek's $199,808 urban forest assessment contract on June 23, 2026.
  • Pasadena selected Dudek for a three-year, $1.5 million on-call stormwater contract in March 2026.
  • Dudek's April 2026 golden mussel response work expands relevance in urgent water-infrastructure risk management.

What critics are saying

  • Dudek filed a 2026 WARN notice cutting 36 workers in Oroville.
  • Pasadena received 11 stormwater bidders, showing Dudek faces brutal price and qualification competition.
  • If California agencies slow capital spending in 2027, Dudek's consulting backlog will shrink fast.

What makes Dudek unique

  • Dudek sells 50-plus planning, environmental, and engineering services across California and federal work.
  • Its niche is permitting-heavy, multidisciplinary infrastructure work for water, energy, and urban forestry clients.
  • Public agencies keep reselecting Dudek, including Pasadena's 2026 stormwater on-call roster.
