Crunchyroll specializes in streaming anime, manga, and Asian dramas for a global audience. It operates on a subscription-based model, offering both free ad-supported content and premium memberships that provide benefits like early episode access and high-definition streaming. Unlike larger competitors such as Netflix and Hulu, Crunchyroll focuses exclusively on niche content that appeals to dedicated fans of Asian pop culture. The company also generates revenue through merchandise sales and original content production, fostering a strong community around its platform. Crunchyroll's goal is to serve and engage anime enthusiasts while building a loyal customer base.
