Maintain ongoing alignment with the Truist Purpose, Mission and Values, while leading the tactical implementation and execution of the Zelle Product strategy, in partnership with Operational resources, cross-functional teammates and vendors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, successful planning and delivery of product solutions, features and functionalities, in support of the overarching product strategy, meanwhile understanding the influences of industry and competitive benchmarking drivers, P&L impacts, risk mitigation and client behavioral performance.
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Product Development: Drive the effective execution of the Zelle Product roadmap, to support the development of the product and achieve business growth objectives. Understand P&L profitability and key performance metrics to ensure that the delivery of features and functionality remain in alignment with the goals of the business unit and Truist enterprise. Oversee product implementation and leverage partnerships across the bank, as well as those with external parties, to ensure congruence with business goals, resulting in successful outcomes. Acquire and supply feedback to aid in refining the Zelle product and supporting processes.
2. Product Strategy: Understand, interpret and further convey the strategy for Zelle Product Development at Truist. Ensure that the delivery of product features and enhancements supports the intended strategic direction. Build awareness and educate teammates about the goals and objectives of the Zelle Product team, garner support and influence prioritization to drive successful implementation of the short- and long-term roadmaps for product development.
3. Drive Product Execution: Advocate for new or updated features and functionalities and translate approved product specifications into functional requirements. Drive system integration with support from Operational teammates. Continuously monitor and seek feedback from business partners to aid in identifying opportunities for improvement in execution strategy, meanwhile balancing product accessibility and delivery, as well as performance and profitability.
4. Navigate industry landscape: Monitor trends and best practices as the industry landscape continuously evolves. Stay abreast of Competitor (bank and non-bank) activities, including product offerings, enhanced features and new functionality, with emphasis on upcoming trends and potential impacts to Truist. Maintain general awareness of legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance of product design, positioning and delivery. Assess benchmarks and identify strategic opportunities in the marketplace.
5. Build Relationships: Build rapport, establish trust and foster successful working relationships with new and existing business partners, including those on immediate team and within the broader business unit, as well as teammates across the Truist enterprise and external 3rd party vendor partners. Reach out frequently to engage support partners, ensuring a mutual understanding of the intended Product Strategy. Leverage interpersonal skills to cultivate two-way communication through clear and concise means, in order to deliver updates on projects, feedback and commentary. Influence and build consensus with diverse partners at all levels.
6. Risk Mitigation: Ensure effective oversight by regulatory, legal, compliance, business governance, audit, change and quality management while meeting the needs and demands of our customers; adhere to all product policies and procedures. Understand Truist's Risk Management appetite and leverage this framework when developing Product strategies and tactics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education or related training
2. 2+ years of leadership experience in product or portfolio management or relevant experience (Digital Payments)
3. 5+ years of experience in product management, digital payments or related areas within financial services
4. Advanced Analytical skills (assessment/ decision making/ problem solving), priority setting, strategic planning, execution, communication, presentation, business acumen
5. Aptitude to operate at both the strategic and tactical level
6. Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
7. Proven attention to detail
8. Well-developed interpersonal skills that build trust and encourage teamwork with peers, business partners and clients, as applicable
9. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to synthesize data, develop recommendations and present to senior management
10. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
