Requirements
  • Proven experience in data analysis & reporting
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI
  • Expertise in SQL query development
  • Experience with ETL pipeline development and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with MS Fabric and its components is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions
  • Experience with automation tools and programming languages such as Python, VBA, and Power Automate
  • Ability to extract meaningful insights from large datasets and perform system analysis
  • Experience with data migration and data lake development concepts
  • Basic understanding of DBA principles is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex data findings to clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data challenges
Responsibilities
  • Manage the integration of client and retailer data with Brand Momentum’s in-store data
  • Generate compelling insights that tell a clear story and uncover opportunities to accelerate business growth for our clients
  • Leverage AI and analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and performance gaps
  • Assist in developing and enhancing reporting processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy across programs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather reporting requirements and implement changes based on feedback
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively flag inconsistencies or issues
  • Support the development of client-facing presentations and business reviews with relevant data and insights
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to automate key business processes, enhancing efficiency and scalability
  • Conduct thorough systems analysis to identify & propose improvements to existing workflows
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ensure a seamless and efficient data flow
  • Utilize programming languages like Python and VBA, as well as tools such as Power Automate and MS Fabric, to build cutting-edge data solutions
  • Drive the modernization of legacy production reports, upgrading them to 2.0 versions or higher and integrating machine learning as needed
  • Establish a comprehensive documentation and library system for all production reports and ETL processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and maintainability
  • Contribute to data migration projects, ensuring the accurate and seamless transfer of data between systems
  • Develop and design new Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver key insights and support business decisions
  • Support client requests by gathering and analyzing detailed requirements to create effective reporting solutions
  • Work towards co-ownership of Power BI report development and client interactions, taking on greater responsibility over time
  • Contribute to the data model development within Power BI to optimize performance and enhance the usability of dashboards
  • Craft compelling presentations that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients like JVF, ensuring a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges
  • Proactively extract, clean, and analyze data from the centralized platform to identify key trends and opportunities for client growth and optimization
  • Go beyond raw data to build 'smart data narratives' that tell a story, highlighting key successes, uncovering potential issues, and recommending strategic next steps
  • Work closely with the sales, product, and data science teams to ensure client insights are shared effectively
  • Develop and present strategic recommendations to clients, demonstrating how the platform can drive better retail merchandising, improve sales, and reduce costs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding data insights, reporting, and dashboard functionality
