Seaport Global Holdings LLC, a full-service, mid-sized independent investment bank, seeks an experienced Investment Banking Analyst or first year Associate to add to our team in the New Orleans office. Small deal teams and our focus on middle-market, high-growth companies afford applicants the unique opportunity to work directly with senior-level client executives and top-level bankers. Applicants assume a critical role in the entire transaction process, including the initial pitch, due diligence, preparing a written prospectus or offering memorandum, meeting with potential investors/buyers, negotiating key terms, closing the deal and maintaining the client relationship. The position will work on a variety of transactions, including restructurings, debt and equity offerings, M&A advisory assignments, private placements, and strategic options studies.
Qualifications
- Track record of academic excellence; preferably in undergraduate business program
- At least two years of investment banking/financial analyst at an oil and gas company preferred
- Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial modeling techniques using Excel
- Committed to satisfying all requirements of deal process
- Ability to manage expectations of senior bankers and clients while working on projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to meet with existing clients and potential clients
