Requirements
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program, an Associate Degree, or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A strong technical background with 5 years of related experience in the electrical, specialty systems, or related trade.
  • One to two years of facilitation experience.
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in operating audiovisual equipment.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical and/or specialty systems contractor field.
  • Knowledge of adult educational principles and theory is preferred.
  • Availability to travel up to 25%.
  • Availability to work between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with work at any time on any day of the week as business needs require.
  • Confidentiality is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate electrical apprenticeship, QuickStart, and trade-related training classes.
  • Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Team to research and recommend content, develop, pilot, and implement new technical or trade-related training and development programs.
  • Design and develop technical and trade-related curriculum based on organizational needs.
  • Conduct jobsite or on-site coaching and employee development related to audits or to assist with novel work or jobs in crisis.
  • Develop relationships with operational leaders that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Support and provide guidance to the Apprenticeship Coordinator in coordinating apprenticeship programs as needed.
  • Work with the Learning and Development team and subject-matter experts to continuously improve the content, activities, and delivery of technical and trade-related programs.
  • Continuously increase knowledge of Learning and Development craft.
  • Actively participate in professional and trade-related organizations.
  • Model company values and professional standards for trainees.
  • Collaborate with others and effectively influence.
