Samsung new semiconductor manufacturing facility in Taylor Texas.

The Taylor Site will be Samsung’s Largest facility in the USA. The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC). With greater manufacturing capacity, we will be able to better serve the needs of our customers and contribute to the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain.

The Photolithography department focuses on delivering solutions by developing 24x7x365 teams of elite, fab-oriented, excursion-free, safety and quality minded members. As part of the Photo Equipment Engineering team, you will work together to support one another and our customers regardless of organizational boundaries.

Samsung’s PM Philosophy is to return the equipment to like new condition. The Photo PM Equipment Technician will be performing Preventative Maintenance (PMs), repair, restoration work and qualification on various types of photolithography equipment.

Specific Job Duties 

• SEMES Spinner and auxiliary equipment PMs including hardware and product qualification.
• TEL Track and auxiliary equipment PMs including hardware and product qualification.
• ASML Scanner and auxiliary equipment PMs including hardware and product qualification.
• Canon Stepper and auxiliary equipment PMs including hardware and product qualification.
• Coordinate Samsung internal, external and multiple vendor resources to provide optimum PM support on assigned equipment including reviewing and maintaining parts, jigs, measuring    equipment and specialty items needed for ongoing and future PMs.
• Prioritize your work in alignment with the photo departments level priorities, and understand your part in achieving company goals.
• Analyze and report PM performance data including: PM times, restoration and repair times, qualification times, qualification success rates, Cost and similar metrics for assigned equipment.
• Improve and update PM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assigned metrics.
• Deliver and present reports of a technical nature weekly to upper management.
• Assist other team members and areas when possible, to help meet Photo department goals.

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

• Requires 2+ years of semiconductor Photo, Cleans, CMP or Diffusion equipment background
• Experience on one or more of the following types of semiconductor equipment: SEMES, TEL, ASML, Canon, Screen, AMAT

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools: 

• Understanding of semiconductor wafer processing fundamentals and photolithography

• Familiarity with SPC, FDC, yield analysis and other standard engineering and manufacturing practices.
• Work Environment:  Work is performed 8 hours a day in the semiconductor fabrication facility where a cleanroom gown is required
• Physical Demands:  The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand on ladders and raised platforms and must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
