Requirements

  • Ability to interpret and represent College actions and Western institutions to the North Slope community.
  • Ability to support Iḷisaġvik College’s mission.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in the area of instruction or a related field.
Responsibilities
  • Teach HIM 210: ICD-10-CM Coding and HIM 211: CPT-4 Coding during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Prepare and maintain updated instructional materials, course outlines, and curriculum.
  • Develop and submit a current syllabus using the college template.
  • Prepare administrative documents, such as student withdrawals and attendance.
  • Evaluate student performance and submit grades to the registrar.
  • Maintain office hours in person, by telephone, or online.
  • Participate in professional development as necessary to remain proficient in the college's current technologies and learning platform.
  • Comply with College policies, procedures, and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A doctorate degree or equivalent in the area of instruction.
