Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Two to four years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, a similar corporate finance role, or a top-tier strategy consultancy with strong financial modelling exposure.
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, including cohort analysis, three-statement modelling, and unit economics work.
  • A solid grasp of how operational drivers flow through the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, with the ability to translate that into clear, decision-ready output.
  • An interest in moving to the operator side and building inside a high-growth marketplace, with the discipline to learn the business from the inside out.
  • Comfort with AI-native ways of working, or the curiosity to learn to use Anthropic's Claude platform as part of the daily workflow.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to dissect complex data and produce clear, practical insight for audiences ranging from analysts to the board.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and accountability for numbers presented to leadership.
  • The ability to connect operational reality to financials and clearly articulate the implications to operators and the board.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with Go-to-Market, Operations, Accounting, Treasury, and the executive team.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment with evolving processes and systems, and a bias for building rather than waiting.
  • Integrity and sound judgement when handling confidential financial and commercial information.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain cohort models across customers, suppliers, product lines, and regions.
  • Decompose growth into rate and base effects, including new versus existing activity, price versus volume, mix shifts, and foreign exchange.
  • Produce analytics that determine where the company should invest, reduce activity, or wait.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to build the operating cadence, including pipeline mathematics, conversion rates, ramp curves, productivity per representative, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value by segment.
  • Identify where the Go-to-Market machine is losing efficiency, including channel mix, segment return on investment, discounting, compensation-plan distortions, and hand-off points, and work with the team to address those issues.
  • Build business cases for hiring, territory expansion, total addressable market, serviceable available market, serviceable obtainable market, pricing changes, and new Go-to-Market motions, and monitor whether the assumptions hold.
  • Own the core management reporting pack, including recurring key performance indicator readouts, monthly profit-and-loss and key performance indicator commentary, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Build and maintain company-wide reporting for all-hands meetings and asynchronous updates.
  • Co-own the board reporting cycle, including the presentation, underlying data, commentary, and ongoing quarter-to-quarter narrative.
  • Maintain and improve short-term forecasts, including monthly re-forecasts, and the annual operating plan in partnership with department leads.
  • Translate operational assumptions into coherent profit-and-loss, balance-sheet, and cash-flow views, and pressure-test the assumptions against actuals.
  • Run scenario and sensitivity analyses so leadership understands the path, downside, and potential unlocks.
  • Act as the finance partner across cross-functional projects such as pricing, supplier terms, market expansion, product launches, and hiring plans.
  • Build models that turn business debates into decisions and verify that the models reflect operational reality.
  • Use Anthropic's Claude platform, including Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude Design, as the default working environment for analysis, modelling, and reporting automation.
  • Improve data quality and consistency across Snowflake, NetSuite, and ThoughtSpot.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and analysis through AI-native workflows and contribute to playbooks for the wider finance function.
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to B2B marketplaces, fintech, or payments-heavy businesses.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, NetSuite, ThoughtSpot, or comparable data, enterprise resource planning, and business intelligence tools.
  • SQL skills, or willingness to learn.
  • Experience working alongside Go-to-Market teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations, on commercial analytics or planning.

Nivoda runs a B2B marketplace that connects jewelry retailers with a global network of natural and lab-grown diamonds, colored gemstones, and melee diamonds. Buyers can source from multiple suppliers in one transaction and receive a single invoice in their local currency. Nivoda handles end-to-end fulfillment, including supplier validation, quality control, logistics, customs, and shipping directly to the jeweler. It provides tools like API feeds, a Shopify plugin, a white-label virtual showroom, and flexible payment options to streamline procurement and reduce costs while expanding product offerings toward finished jewelry.

  • Nivoda crossed $1 billion in diamond sales by March 2026.
  • Q2 2026 sapphire sales reached 49.38% of gemstone volume.
  • The 2026 jewelry launch expands Nivoda beyond loose stones into finished goods.

What critics are saying

  • Revelio counted 514 Nivoda employees in April 2026, down 11.1% year over year.
  • Lab-grown diamonds and direct supplier portals compress Nivoda's pricing advantage by 2027.
  • If i80 funding tightens in 2027, Nivoda becomes a credit utility, not a marketplace.

  • Its logistics, customs, QC, and invoicing collapse fragmented sourcing for 10,000 retailers.
