- Proficiency in network-attached storage, storage area networking, and backup and recovery administration.
- Experience with DNS, Apache, Sendmail, BIND, LDAP, and Proofpoint.
- Experience in data center or network operations with high availability and/or 24x7 service levels.
- Strong experience with disaster recovery solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in daily system support and operation for critical and complex production systems.
- Perform capacity planning, infrastructure design, and systems administration.
- Create robust, highly available, and secure designs for UNIX/Linux server infrastructure.
- Provide 24x7 rotating Level 3 support for UNIX and storage infrastructure across various group companies.
- Work closely with the remote UNIX team on day-to-day incident and service request tickets.
- Work with hardware and third-party vendors to troubleshoot systems.
- Interface with clients regarding technical issues, inquiries, and requests.
- Set policies for applications and infrastructure, including patching schedules, release deployment, testing, and system readiness.
- Manage HP-UX environments in production, testing, and development environments.
- Configure and manage virtual server environments, storage infrastructure, and disaster recovery installations.
- Administer systems monitoring and methodically troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
- Apply configuration management and change control processes.
- Create and update technical documentation for system configuration and operation.
- Certifications in Solaris, Linux, and/or storage area networking are preferred.
