Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience
  • 5+ years of Health care, health insurance, or related experience in a related analytical role - e.g. provider payment/reimbursement, provider compensation, data analytics, finance, etc
  • Intellectually curious and demonstration of strong decision-making skills, as well as business intuition. Must be able to understand the needs of others, ask meaningful questions, and distill large amounts of information into actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills with the ability to recognize inconsistencies, analyze for reasonableness and accuracy, research and come to conclusion in a wide variety of changing analytical situations
  • Experience should include the interpretation of data (e.g., outcomes, trends, assessment of benchmark data) involving large, complex datasets and the ability to consult and distill relevant information into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to continuously improve processes from identification to implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop, articulate and deliver complex information and recommendations to varying audiences, including senior leadership
  • Ability to establish key business relationships, influence decision makers, resolve conflict, and solicit cooperation and consensus from stakeholders
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paces environment. Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a strong emphasis in formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables
Responsibilities
  • About the Role: Reporting to the Director of Key Account Strategy, the National Accounts Analytics Manager is integral to Wellmark's ability to strengthen our market position and maintain a leading edge in our markets. Through collaborative engagement with key stakeholders, you will lead and provide strategic direction and oversight to the organization for Wellmark's UDS submission (plan performance data) and results for continued enhancement and optimization of our submission practices. You will provide expertise on data submission requirements, external consultant methodologies and optimization strategies, while working closely with Actuarial Services, Health Networks, Network Economics, Sales, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, and external vendors to evaluate and understand impacts to demonstrate the full value of our networks
