  • Experience with proactive management of all elements of a client's infrastructure supported by Long View
  • Ability and willingness to be part of an on-call rotation and to act as the point of escalation to the team member on-call
  • Proven experience with collaboration of internal and external teams, including vendors, to determine and develop the best solution
  • Generalist-type, intermediate to senior level of knowledge of server, network, storage, Cloud technologies, remote access tools, with technical specialization that may include, but not limited to any combination of: Azure, GCP, AWS Windows server and Active directory; Virtualization (server, desktop, application); Linux, UNIX server; Network infrastructure; Infrastructure security; Cloud technologies (O365, Azure, Google Cloud or Amazon AWS); Converged or Hyper-converged infrastructure
  • ITIL Foundations (Incident, Change, Problem, Asset Management)
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • Desire and ability to carry a mobile phone for client and/or for Long View Systems support
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Guide and direct infrastructure-related escalations for client's IT assets from the Network Operations Centre or Global Service Desk
  • Build a strong relationship with the Site Manager and client to understand the client's business, specific requirements and needs
  • Interact with IGS and branch service delivery teams to help resolve issues
  • Provide technical excellence across the client's infrastructure
  • Understand end to end core technical blocks (including those outside of Long View's scope of support) that comprise the client's environment
  • Drive technical efficiencies, stability and security within the client's infrastructure
  • Provide operations-specific guidance to projects
  • Provide support in Incident, Change, Document, Ticket Queue, and Problem Management
  • Provide weekly and monthly status, change management and problem management reports
  • Work with the Site Manger and IGS to update and remediate documentation issues, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
  • Maintain the complete view of the client infrastructure and proactively identify performance bottlenecks or stability issues
  • Participate in patching of Windows Servers when required
  • Own tracking and reporting on the status of patching compliancy in a client environment
  • Liaise with Site Manager on any client technical issues, escalations, documentation as well as ensuring all devices are monitored and backed up regularly
