  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Transportation, or related discipline) from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 9+ years of experience in ITS design, implementation and traffic management within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITS, TCS and Traffic Management standards and procedures.
  • Prior experience with ITC (Integrated Transport Centre) approvals and regulatory processes is mandatory.
  • Experience in reviewing and implementing temporary traffic management plans for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of ITS network integration and maintenance is preferred.
  • Prior experience with consultants or contractors in the ITS field is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government entities, contractors and design consultants.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Synchro or ITS tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation, technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project).
  • Local Abu Dhabi experience is preferable.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of ITS and TCS infrastructure across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with the latest authority standards and regulations.
  • Review and validate ITS and TCS designs, technical specifications and submittals ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, design and construction conflicts, and interface issues related to ITS and TCS infrastructure across various projects.
  • Monitor the implementation and commissioning of ITS and TCS infrastructure, ensuring that it adheres to approved plans, schedule, budget and quality benchmarks.
  • Review and assess temporary traffic management plans (TTMP) submitted by contractors for multiple project sites.
  • Ensure traffic detours are safe, efficient and compliant with regulatory requirements minimizing disruptions to road users.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to verify proper implementation of approved traffic diversions.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize traffic flow and minimize congestion during construction activities.
  • Coordinate with Integrate Transport Centre (ITC), road authorities, project teams and other stakeholders to ensure effective traffic management planning.
