Requirements
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta.
  • Willingness to visit patients’ residences within a designated area.
  • Ability to pass or satisfy a criminal background screening upon hire.
  • Ability to work every other weekend.
Responsibilities
  • Travel from patient to patient and complete several home visits per day.
  • Prepare meals and assist with mealtime.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties.
  • Provide companionship and support patients’ well-being.
  • Assist with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing.
  • Support patients with basic activities of daily living.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but is not necessary.
  • Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset.
  • Compassion and listening skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
