Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting IMS/CICS.
  • Experience with a variety of tools such as IMSPA, IMSPI, CICSPA, IMS Fast Path utilities, Fault Analyzer, File-Aid, RMF, C/Prof and Omegamon.
  • SMP/E experience.
  • Subsystem tuning experience.
  • IMS/CICS Installation, support, diagnostics techniques.
  • Experience in various programming languages. (e.g. Cobol, JCL, Rexx and Assembler)
  • Security products e.g. RACF.
  • z/OS system technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
  • Rapidly response to IMS & CICS issues as they arise, utilizing specialized troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and business impact. Efficiently diagnose problems, collect system dumps, and initiate corrective actions to restore system functionalities.
  • Open cases on IBM support portal. Collect necessary documentations, including system dumps, job log, trace, and diagnostic information, to expedite issue resolution in collaboration with IBM support.
  • Provide expert consulting services to applications and operation teams, facilitating a deep understanding of IMS & CICS functions and resolving any system related inquiries. Regularly communicate system status, issue resolution updates, and potential impact to senior management.
  • Install and support multiple IMSplex & CICSPlex configurations, including IMS Connect regions, managing WAS and MQ transaction inputs, Omegamon/IMS & Omegamon/CICS monitoring, and Db2 back-ends across 2 development LPARs, 5 testing LPARs, and 9 production LPARs. Ensure high availability for numerous applications in all production environments.
  • Review vendor HIPER lists weekly to identify critical RBC-impacting fixes and schedule them for installation following RBC Enterprise Operations Standard.
  • Support the implementation of IMS catalog and IMS managed ACB.
  • Identify opportunities for tuning IMS & CICS performance to ensure SLA requirements are maintained or exceeded.
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of IMS & CICS technology and interfacing technologies, such as Db2, MQ & WAS, supported by other areas of RBC.
  • Install, configure and support IMS tools, such as Fast Path Solution Pack, DB Solution Pack, LIU, IMS Tool Base, IRLM, IMSPA, IMSPI, CICSPA, C/Prof IMS Connect and IMS Connect Extension.
  • Ensure IMS & CICS software and RBC-developed code are maintained at appropriate SMP/E maintenance levels to minimize RBC's exposure to known risks.
  • Direct research, identify and recommend exploiting new IMS and z/OS features and functions, such as z/OS Connect EE API processing, and RBC written code to ensure proper use of technology while adhering to RBC's long-term architectural direction.
  • Provide expert technical advice to operation staff and application developers as required to assist in the resolution of their problems.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to ensure that all IMS & CICS regions/transactions are fully secured using RACF security.
  • Create clear technical documentation and ensure compliance with all security and audit requirements.
  • Ensure that changes to supported vendor software and RBC written code are documented in the ServiceNow change management system and that emergency changes for production are within RBC standards.
  • Share experiences and knowledge with all members of the team through open communications. Provide learning and training opportunities for junior team members.

ARRAY Technologies expands revolving credit facility to $370M and extends maturity to 2031

ARRAY Technologies, a global provider of solar tracking technology, has increased its revolving credit facility from $166 million to $370 million and extended the maturity date from October 2028 to February 2031. The amended facility includes up to $250 million available for letters of credit. Goldman Sachs Bank USA served as lead arranger and administrative agent, with participation from JP Morgan, Wells Fargo Securities, PNC Capital Markets and HSBC Bank USA. Royal Bank of Canada has completed a US$1 billion registered offering of 6.500% Limited Recourse Capital Notes, Series 8. The notes were issued on 30 January 2026 and will mature on 24 May 2086. Concurrently, RBC issued 1 million Non Cumulative 5 year Fixed Rate Reset First Preferred Shares, Series CA, held by Computershare Trust Company of Canada. RBC Capital Markets, Citigroup Global Markets, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities acted as lead managers and joint bookrunners for the offering. RBC partners with HTS to launch enhanced Avion Rewards Travel booking platform for Canadians

RBC has partnered with HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions) to launch an enhanced Avion Rewards Travel platform later this year for all Avion Rewards members. The collaboration brings together Canada's largest proprietary loyalty programme with a leading travel technology platform. The new booking portal will enable members to use Avion points across flights, accommodations, car rentals, activities and packages. It will feature flexible booking options and price insights that recommend optimal flight booking times based on historical and predictive data. Avion credit cardholders will retain exclusive fixed-points pricing on any airline and flight without blackout dates or seating restrictions. The platform will be integrated seamlessly into the existing Avion Rewards ecosystem, with RBC emphasising a frictionless transition for members.
