Responsibilities
  • In this position you will support the Eyepiece Process R&D team and be exposed to hands-on processing of AR eyepieces (including substrate preparation, lithography, thin film deposition, general eyepiece assembly). A qualified candidate will be able to assist with sample generation, daily process monitoring/critical measurements, and general data analysis. You will be part of daily planning discussions and will contribute directly to activities required for project execution and time-sensitive part delivery. You should be prepared to innovate, provide critical feedback, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Our high functioning team consists of a diverse group of engineers and technicians
  • Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThis position primarily works in a Class 100 cleanroom environment + wet chemical lab with acid, ultrasonic, and surface treatment equipment. The position may also include working with laser cutters, laminators/adhesives, and special measurement and test methods. The candidate must be able to suit up and wear cleanroom attire for extended periods. The ability to learn to manually handle glass and Si-type substrates + operate process equipment and metrology tools is essential
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to manually handle wafer substrates of varied sizes and material types
  • Experience working with chemicals, using microscopy & surface analysis techniques
  • Hands-on semiconductor/nano-fabrication experience, preferably in a clean room environment
  • Understand photolithography, thin-films deposition, or adhesive processing
  • Ability to analyze and plot/visualize data using JMP/MiniTab
  • Ability and desire to learn new processes, evaluate new methods, improve data monitoring and collection tasks
  • Basic knowledge of typical nano-fabrication processes (CVD, Etch, Litho, Dep, Cleans, Diffusion)
