Requirements
  • The candidate must hold an Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree.
  • The candidate must have successfully completed an American College of Graduate Medical Education accredited Internal Medicine Residency training.
  • The candidate must have completed an American College of Graduate Medical Education accredited Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship training.
  • The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology prior to the start date.
  • The candidate must possess and maintain a Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and a DEA license.
  • A Nevada medical license must be obtained prior to the start date.
  • The candidate must have malpractice coverage meeting credentialing requirements.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain privileges at University Medical Center and other site locations as needed.
  • Finalists may be subject to a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities will include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting as well as supervision and teaching of Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students.
  • Planning for a Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship program is in progress.
  • The training programs are affiliated with the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and offer a comprehensive mix of inpatient and ambulatory teaching experiences.
  • The program has already received Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education approval to recruit fellows.
