Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning and executing events and donor engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, and impeccable technical skills, including high-level comfort with event apps, sites, tools.
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management software is required; demonstrated ability to stay abreast of time and effort enhancing tools.
  • CRM experience required. Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, research-savvy, and proficient in internet and resource usage.
  • Keen eye for proofreading and a commitment to checking work.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented approach to work with a commitment to excellence.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, as this job requires frequent interaction with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to create strong relationships, both inside and outside the organization, and represent the organization in the most effective and gracious manner.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with relevant staff members to define event parameters, expectations, and establish comprehensive project plans.
  • Coordinate and advise all aspects of event production, including but not limited to Asana templates, site setup timelines, contract negotiations, communications strategies, venue selection, and logistical arrangements.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues on collaborating with development communications for event material development and development operations for event preparation materials and record-keeping.
  • Travel to events to manage them on-site, ensuring everything goes as planned and trouble-shooting as needed in the moment.
  • Assist in creating invite lists, campaign codes, donor tracking, and maintaining donor records in Salesforce as necessary.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Audubon Events 'Toolkit' to standardize guest experience and content development for events through the Audubon network.
  • Collaborate with Audubon Development staff, leadership, center directors, and conservation teams to identify potential donors for cultivation and stewardship efforts, thereby fostering a sustainable pipeline of supporters.
  • Plan and execute additional cultivation and stewardship events throughout the Audubon network as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cvent certification preferred.
  • Avid birder or birding knowledgeable a preferred bonus.
