Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required; an Associate’s degree is desired, or at least two (5+) years of experience may substitute for formal education for highly qualified candidates.
  • Understanding and application of logistics principles, concepts, practices, and standards, including their application to government practices.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and periodically twist, bend, and squat.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance at this location.
Responsibilities
  • Develop business relationships with suppliers and clients.
  • Review and maintain logistical functions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Propose strategies to minimize the cost and time required to transport goods.
  • Research legacy equipment OM&S ERP listings and identify and correct material nomenclatures, part numbers, and Navy Stock Numbers.
  • Identify material applicability and quarterly demand rates, work with material movers, visit warehouses to check equipment condition and status, and provide recommendations.
  • Track inventory by adding newly procured parts and removing quantities used in builds; process paperwork, DRMO/red-tag obsolete parts, and track and organize lab stock.
  • Return material to supply using production-controller documents, including 1348, 1149, DD250, RFI, turn-in, and inductions.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and material standards.
  • Acquire and interpret LX02 and ZRQIS reports through ERP systems.
  • Present data to stakeholders during IPTs and project reviews.
  • Report government-furnished property (GFP).
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with material movement paperwork.
  • Experience with ERP reports, including LX02 and ZRQIS.
  • SWMS experience.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Tier 1 Shipboard Certification.
