What you’ll do:

• Design, implement and run software tests for mobile robot drive and pick n’ place capabilities. 
• Automation using simulation and hardware in the loop testing for verification of robot behaviors. 
• Own software integration testing of systems and subsystems. 
• Implement and conduct tests via scripting, data log parsing and analysis
• Collaborate with software developers to develop tests and make it usable and compatible with multiple robots.
• Perform root cause analysis and system level debugging of hardware/software components for our mobile robot platform. 
• Perform shock and vibration testing on mobile robot to collect the data for profiling
• Perform Thermal testing for component level of mobile robot and analysis the data and generate report
• Troubleshoot system problems in production or design by investigating issues related to product performance or production difficulties

What you’ll need: 

• Demonstrated ability to test complex electro-mechanical systems
• Experience with general purpose programming environments, languages and scripting systems, data analysis packages, Linux, C++, git 
• BS / MS in computer science, robotics, engineering or equivalent work experience
• Professional experience with Python along with Object oriented concepts
• Experience with testing automation designed in Python and PyTest is desirable 
• Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, GitLab Automation  
• Knowledge of software quality and testing automation principles 
• Experience with Gazebo and ROS a plus

Nice to have:  

• Startup experience at companies that are scaling fast; an ability to build the robot as they ship it, as we say 
• Robotics / supply chain / logistics experience a plus but not required
• A hands-on problem solver who can clearly communicate results. 
• Familiarity with robotics, mechatronics, or embedded systems  
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements
• Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring adequate coverage of all robotic system components and functionalities
• Aware about testing activities, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and stress testing
• Test Automation: Develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks
• A willingness to take personal responsibility for problem solving
