- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold a New Hampshire Registered Nurse license or a Compact State Registered Nurse license.
- Ability to obtain Basic Life Support qualification during the orientation period and maintain it during employment.
- Deliver care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process.
- Create a therapeutic and caring environment for patients and families.
- Practice consistently with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model, the American Nurses Association Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, Nursing Code of Ethics, and relevant specialty standards of practice.
- Embrace and promote change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
- Involve patients and families in goal setting and planning, communicate the plan of care to them for input, and communicate it to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
- Utilize current evidence and relevant national and specialty standards to guide practice and performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate competent clinical practice using clinical decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification preferred.
