We are now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Insights team.
About the Role
The Data Insights Team sits within Matillion’s Finance and Operation team which is a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting business operations as Matillion embarks on a period of VC-backed rapid scaling.
As a Data Engineer, within the data insights team, you will support the existing team with the design, development and ongoing support of Matillion Data Integration projects and the Enterprise Data Warehouse, therefore supporting reporting, monitoring and analytics for the wider business.
This is a hybrid role, where you will work some time at home and some time from our Manchester office.
What you will be doing:
- Design and maintain data pipelines based on the business requirements using Matillion ETL and Matillion Data Productivity Cloud
- Develop and execute automated data quality checks to ensure the reliability of data pipelines and data transformations
- Utilise AWS services, Snowflake data warehouse and AWS Redshift to deliver new data products
- Maintain business logic and technical implementation documentation
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with implementing complex data warehouse logic with a sophisticated ETL tool in a CDW environment
- Experience with capturing business logic requirements from different business units and able to translate these into a technical implementation
- A detail-focused approach to data changes and experience with common data-related testing techniques
- Experience using Python and API connectivity
- Can work as part of a team but is also effective working alone
- Has a positive ‘can do’ attitude
At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is £59,000 - £73,000 but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
