  • 4+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated design and implementation of high fidelity lidar simulations in previous work
  • Knowledge about state of the art as well as theoretical operation of Lidar sensors
  • Knowledge about environmental effects and modeling approaches
  • Experience implementing models in Matlab, Python, or C++
  • Experience across design, execution and analysis of experiments for evaluation of sensor performance
Responsibilities
  • Own the lidar modeling process related to theory, design, implementation, and validation of lidar models including material, radiometric and internal processing
  • Work closely with our validation and rendering teams to demonstrate correlation, and create prebuilt sensor models to be used by our customers
  • Work closely with customers and sensor vendors to implement their specific models
  • Spend roughly 50% of your time on the validation of lidar models, and 50% of your time on model development
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with rendering engines such as Unreal Engine
  • Hands on experience with Lidar hardware
