  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or another related field; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of machine programming systems and data systems is preferred in the posting's Preferred Skills section.
  • Ability to develop plans for assigned work, set priorities, make timely decisions, and use personal computer systems effectively.
  • Successful completion of a pre-hire drug screen and post-offer background screen is required for employment.
Responsibilities
  • Support the design, development, programming, integration, and support of automated manufacturing.
  • Define projects, set goals, communicate projects to affected parties, and complete projects successfully.
  • Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop plans, prepare Appropriation Requests, and manage project implementation through completion within allotted time frames.
  • Assist, guide, and mentor engineers and support personnel on complex technical matters.
  • Develop, install, and maintain optimum processes for the safe and productive manufacture of quality products.
  • Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment, including preventive and predictive maintenance requirements and mechanical evaluation of processes and equipment.
  • Coordinate corrections to production problems using manufacturing engineering problem-solving techniques and develop alternate processes when necessary to maintain production.
  • Evaluate alternate solutions using engineering economy techniques.
  • Perform general industrial engineering functions as necessary.
  • Travel as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in machine design.
  • At least five years of experience in programmable logic controller programming, preferably with Allen-Bradley, FANUC robotics, and electrical control panel design.
  • Knowledge of machine programming systems.
  • Knowledge of data systems.
