Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources or customer service
  • Strong technical/computer skills using LinkedIn or other comparable platforms

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems

  • Travel to local and campus locations required
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
  • Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance
Responsibilities
  • Maintain an effective recruiting cycle that ensures a positive candidate and internal customer experience
  • Manage full cycle recruiting including consultations with hiring teams, promoting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing, coordinating the selection and offer process, supporting the hiring process, and onboarding
  • Partner with university leaders, hiring managers and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of candidate talent requirements
  • Develop and implement targeted job promotional and sourcing strategies, utilizing available resources to attract top talent
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System including posting positions, reviewing applications, closing postings, dispositioning candidates, tracking candidates through the hiring process and other functional requirements
  • Assist with the interview process on an as needed basis, including attending or conducting interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods
  • Assist with the execution and facilitation of various HR and recruitment events including new employee orientation hiring events, career fairs, and recruitment trainings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local recruitment and employment laws, regulations, and university policies
  • Stay up to date on emerging higher education trends to inform and guide recruitment strategies and recommend external recruiting technology or resources as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
