- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- 3+ years of Patient Access experience, preferably within a hospital or multi-unit health system
- Demonstrated experience leading front-end revenue cycle functions, including point-of-service collections and denial prevention
- Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environment required
- Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements, to include the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI
- Demonstrated use of KPIs to drive and track team performance
- Financial and project management experience required
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- CRCR certification required within first 9 months of hire (Ensemble supported)
- Provide vision, leadership and operational oversight for on-site Patient Access staff within a specific hospital or market; provide direction to all admitting and registration teams across all entry points; establish positive, collaborative relationships with operational leaders at these sites or markets
- Organize functions through establishing clear accountabilities, delegation of duties and appropriate departmentalization without creating silos
- Develop and maintain an effective, visible and well-respected team by selecting, evaluating, coaching and managing the performance of qualified professionals; negotiate and recruit with other department managers the need for cross training and support; promote team-building relationships in all areas of responsibility; work in a collaborative manner with all managers/team leaders to ensure a successful and compliant revenue cycle process
- Accountable for a comprehensive and effective communication strategy within the facility and/or market that promotes Employee Engagement; communication style should promote a common understanding of the facility / market, vision, strategy and accountabilities; promotes a culture of two-way communications and creates opportunities for staff participation; determines staffing levels, monitors compensation and strengthens recruiting and retention process

- Identify and implement strategies to improve processes, promote operational efficiency, enhance the patient experience and meet regulatory compliance guidelines
- Lead and apply program/project management from inception to completion; manage budget and resource planning and awareness to ensure maximized output, reduced waste and exceptional results
