Job Description:
The Research Associate I will be responsible for supporting compliance with the company’s current marketed dental consumables including meeting internal and external quality and safety requirements. The role will be primarily responsible for performing experiments in the research laboratory and completing all required documentation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, conducts assigned experiments using appropriate equipment, techniques, and protocols. Applies good laboratory practices.
Under the guidance of more senior R&D personnel, plans a schedule of research activities according to the company’s timetable, and establishes daily or weekly routines necessary to meet the project timetable.
Contributes to the design of experiments.
Identifies deficiencies and suggests solutions to problems of limited scope (low to moderate complexity).
Records experimental data and observations. Completes calculations according to established procedures.
Maintains accurate records of work.
Prepares standard and summary of results.
Develops knowledge of the company’s existing products.
Participates in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies.
Complies with all company policies and procedures including quality, complaint handling, and safety.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field required OR
Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field plus a minimum of 2 years of industrial laboratory experience required.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures
Understanding of good laboratory practices
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Good interpersonal and collaborative skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize

Target Market Salary Range:
Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
