Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, and Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
  • At least one class in basic circuit theory or design - preference is mid-level proficiency in circuit design
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD design tool is a plus
  • Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
  • A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers
Responsibilities
  • Gain experience with embedded wireless technologies such as WiFi, BLE, UWB and Thread
  • Utilize tools engineering tools for schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation, and design analysis
  • Gain experience in embedded hardware design and testing techniques
  • Deepen your understanding of RF design and antenna considerations
  • Work with a team to produce well-rounded solutions
  • Participate in daily and other regular team meetings, including project teams and hardware competency
  • Deepen your understanding in basic electronics and the use of electrical tools, such as a digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, and digital logic analyzers
  • Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
