Requirements
  • Training or experience treating patients in a clinical setting.
  • An active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Mississippi.
Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of the provider while maintaining practical nursing professional standards of care.
  • Chart notes accurately and in a timely manner, document services provided, and maintain appropriate records related to patient progress and activities.
  • Interview patients and document basic medical history.
  • Organize and schedule appointments.
  • Check with patients and type patient charts.
  • Produce and distribute correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
  • Return patient calls.
  • Provide basic medical care to patients in an orthopedic clinic.
  • Dispense medication doses safely and efficiently in accordance with organizational procedures and physician orders.
  • Report and document patient symptoms, responses, and progress thoroughly and accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of orthopedic experience.
  • A cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.
  • The ability to promote a favorable clinic image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public.
