The Medical Underwriting Assistant is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting the Medical Underwriting workflow. This role combines administrative responsibilities with introductory underwriting tasks, all under the guidance of a supportive supervisor.
Duties andResponsibilities
Reviews EOI Exception report fromEOIApplicationRobiticsProcess (RPA) process.
Monitors and address inquiries fromMUDocusign.Documentsharedmailbox.
Monitors and address undeliverable emails fromMedicalUnderwritingDoNotReplysharedmailbox.
Inputs MIBcodesintoMIBdatabase.
Review incoming electronic mail, distributing to assigned underwriter and Document Management department.
Utilizes EIS,Filenet, PACS, VUE and SPAS as required by departmentalneeds.
Responds to inquiries received fromEOIapplicationsshared mailboxand MedicalRecords vendors.
Review applications for completeness and addressing those with incomplete information.
Review and send outpersonalized certificates for Voluntary Group Term Life Policies.
Organizes and prioritizes workflow to meet defined productiongoals.
All other duties as assigned.
Education, Qualifications, Experience:
High School Diplomarequired.
2year's experiencein ahigh-volumework environment.
Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills.
High level customer service orientation.
Organizational, timemanagement,and prioritization skills.
Ability to work in high volume, fast paced atmosphere.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
The expected hiring range for this position is $22.86 - $28.59 hourly for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
