Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or a related field is required.
  • ASCP certification is required, including MLS, MT, or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality systems, and accreditation standards is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a high-volume clinical laboratory.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor laboratory supervisors, technologists, technicians, and lab assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, College of American Pathologists, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality control, proficiency testing, and quality assurance programs.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and clients to ensure exceptional service.
  • Manage laboratory budgets, inventory, and operational expenses.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of laboratory personnel.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of laboratory leadership or management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume reference laboratory operations is a plus.
