Requirements
  • 5+ years relevant experience in an Employee Relations, HR Business Partner or equivalent role
  • Superior knowledge of production/warehouse/logistics/operations functions
  • Experience working in multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity & inclusion, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in a startup culture preferred - comfortable with a fast paced, autonomous and unstructured environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish required
Responsibilities
  • Be the designated HR point of contact for our Operations Manager and employees based out of our warehouses
  • Mentor and partner with managers on employee development best practices
  • Act as the liaison between Ops Leaders and other verticals on the People Team (i.e. People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Analytics, etc)
  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition partners to ensure teams are staffed and designed appropriately to ensure business objectives can be met in the short and long term
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers and supervisors (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation and identify training needs for assigned business units
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; following up to ensure training objectives are met
